A very rare and long out of print animated tale "'Katy Catepillar". This was a favorite when I was a kid and still posesses a cult following of fans. The movie was on TV way way back in 1983 but continues to thrive on... getting attention by top animators even to this day. Basically it was the "Finding Nemo" and "Bugs Life" of its time.

The movie follows a resteless caterpillar named "Katy" as she ventures out of her boring cherry tree and embarks on a journey into the great unknown. She meets many fascinating friends along the way and many of the skits are incredibly entertaining. A definite family film all the way.

It's almost impossible to find a VHS version of this nowadays as well. So the DVD is a great find. It is in color and runs a full 85 minutes and includes a very nice DVD case with artwork. This DVD is excellent quality (remember the film is over 20 years old). I was simply amazed by how clear the video was 20 some years later. It is an overseas DVD (not from the US)  but it is entirely in English. NO annoying foreign subtitles like other versions of "Katy Caterpilar" I've seen. The best aspect about this DVD is there are chapter marks throughout the story so you can skip to your favorite part in a flash. Very handy because you'll probably want to watch this one again and again. The chapters marks make this a real winner vs the VHS versions.     DVD is REGION-FREE as well so it will play on any DVD player in the world.

NOTE: There are two versions of this title floating around. This is the SPECIAL EDITION version that contains bonus menus with production notes, trailers, full motion scene select, and more!!!
